A Poem for Easter

Easter Bunny

It’s been a hectic few weeks here in Rosy Towers,

The team’s worked hard and put in the hours,

On content, ads, events, media coaching,

But now a four-day weekend is fast approaching,

On Easter’s first day we can recuperate,

They call it Good Friday but we call it great,

Some of the team will don Easter bonnets,

To consume an egg with a face drawn upon it,

Day two of Easter we’ll head to the market,

For chocolate treats in a fine wicker basket,

Then watch a movie about the Easter bunny,

Not Fatal Attraction, that wouldn’t be funny,

On Sunday morning, our Easter Parade,

Is a walk in the park and some cold lemonade,

Then board games and fun with daughters and sons,

And lavishly-buttered hot cross buns,

When Monday arrives, with our tummies a-bulging,

As a result of all that over-indulging,

Our homes all descend into silent hushes,

As we struggle to cope with harsh sugar rushes,

Tuesday morning, we’re back at our desks,

Ready to shake off the recent excess,

Easter was fun, but we’d lose all our strength,

If all our weekends had been four days in length.
