Here in the creative whirlpool that is Rosy Towers,
We try to do all we can within our impressive powers,
To welcome each new month with vim, verve and vigour,
But March just seems better, brighter and bigger,
There are happy days for us to feast our joy upon,
Such as birthdays for Gaga, Bieber and Elton John,
Ireland and Wales have saintly days in mind,
And there’s an equinox of the vernal kind
In Houston they toast with champagne and cigars,
The anniversary of when NASA first reached Mars,
But our love of March is foodie-centric it would seem,
It features sugar, lemon and maybe whipped cream.
It’s not the time to be polite, reserved or nonchalant,
‘Cos we can eat as many pancakes as we ever would want
